At Boothbay Region High School, students 9 -12 bring home iPads to extend their learning beyond the school day. BRHS is committed to preparing students to be successful in a global economy. Developing 21st century skills is an important requirement in this preparation. Providing a technology rich learning environment will enable our teachers and students to learn, use, and develop the skills needed for the future. 

Parenting students who are tech savvy has its challenges. We understand that learning begins at home and at times parents may have questions or concerns.  We provided some links below that may be of interest to parents.

Has your iPad been lost or stolen?

Here are some first steps to managing a lost or stolen iPad:

  1. School is in session - immediately contact someone on the Tech Team or the Front Office.  They can quickly assist in attempting to locate the device.  
  2. It's the weekend, evening or vacation - if the iPad is on and connected to wifi somewhere, you can ping its location.  Log into iCloud using the AppleID (student's school email) used to set up the device. Using the "Find iPhone" app, it will try to pinpoint the location of the device.  It may take a few minutes to establish a connection.   

These two options only work if the iPad is turned on and connected to wifi. 

If you know the device has been stolen, it's best to contact the local police department as soon as possible to file a report.
