At Boothbay Region High School, students bring home iPads to extend their learning beyond the school day. BRHS is committed to preparing students to be successful in a global economy. Providing a technology rich learning environment will enable our teachers and students to learn, use, and develop the skills needed for the future.

The 2018-19 BRHS Acceptable Use Policy (PDF)  outlines the expectations we set for students and staff to responsibly use  technology.

To be issued a school iPad and accessories return the following:

Print, sign and return the Acceptable Use Acknowledgement Form (PDF).

Print, sign and return the Repair Option form (PDF) to cover damage, loss, and theft to the iPad only.

Contact Learning Technology Coach, Abby Manahan or Principal Dan Welch with specific questions or concerns.

Has your iPad been lost or stolen?

Here are some first steps to managing a lost or stolen iPad:

  1. School is in session - immediately contact someone on the Tech Team or the Front Office.  They can quickly assist in attempting to locate the device.
  2. It's the weekend, evening or vacation - if the iPad is on and connected to wifi somewhere, you can ping its location.  Log into iCloud using the AppleID (student's school email) used to set up the device. Using the "Find iPhone" app, it will try to pinpoint the location of the device.  It may take a few minutes to establish a connection.

These two options only work if the iPad is turned on and connected to wifi.

If you know the device has been stolen, it's best to contact the local police department as soon as possible to file a report.

Parenting students who are tech savvy has its challenges. Learning begins at home and at times parents may have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Technology Office by email or by phone (207) 633-2421. Below are links that may be of interest to parents.
