I had an opportunity to stop in the computer laboratory and see the incredible work that the students in Mr. Powell's and Mrs. Higgin's Computer Aided Design class are engaged in. I could not be prouder of the students and their teachers. This is the future and it is great!

CONGRATULATIONS DR. INGRID MERRILL - Boothbay High School foreign language teacher Ingrid Merrill recently earned her doctorate degree in French Literature. This is a tremendous accomplishment and indicative of the high caliber of teachers in our schools.

Summer Work Projects Making a Difference at all Schools - Our maintenance crews are working hard to have the schools ready for opening later this month. Fresh paint, waxed floors, landscaping, ventilation repairs, playground improvements etc., will welcome students back.

Today I had the honor to present my first high school graduation certificate to a graduate of our reconstituted Adult Education Program. Nothing could make me prouder than to hand JJ Littlefield his diploma. He is hoping to secure a job at BIW now that he has his diploma.
