A reminder that while Halloween is Thursday this week, students are required to follow the BRHS dress code. No hats, hoods or masks can be worn. Underwear should not be visible and clothing should cover the chest, midriff, back and mid-thigh appropriately. Clothing that depicts or in any way refers to, advertises, or promotes illegal drugs, alcohol or tobacco products, that has sexual implications, that promotes violence or illegal acts, or that is derogatory toward any group or individual is not allowed. All students on school grounds will wear shoes. Garments, chains, some chain-like necklaces and/or accessories that may be used as a weapon or perceived as gang member symbols, will not be allowed. Students who are in violation of the dress code will be asked to change their clothing or go home until a proper correction is made. Students who habitually violate the dress code will be assigned detention.

Charles Hall Acton, "Hall", from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, visited the Honors Freshman Science class at the end of September. He talked about the path that got him to NASA as well as technology he helped develop to track asteroids as they come close to Earth.
