WE CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOU BRHS! 💙💛
Individual teachers will review course materials and expectations the first week of classes; however the BRHS teachers have provided some suggestions of materials you can pick up to help prepare you ahead of the opening of school. These materials are not required for the first day of classes. All students must come to the first day of class with a fully charged chromebook. We are giving this information to those who like to plan ahead. We can not wait to see you for the 2024-2025 school year! 😊
The MOST important thing we want to remind you of with your materials is to bring your Chromebook to school day one and every day - FULLY charged (Unless students asked specifically to keep Chromebooks, we have all of them and will have them fully charged and ready to pass out to you on your first day back). ALSO be sure to bring many writing utensils (pencils in particular), and come with a willingness to learn.
ALL BRHS FRESHMEN: Will be using the SOAR method where they use one binder for all their classes (all materials in one place, takes less space, less likely to be forgotten). Here's the list of materials needed:
• 1 durable, 1.5-inch 3-ring binder with pockets on the inside front and back covers.
• For each class, a 3-ring punched plastic (poly) folder for holding papers and dividing sections, so 2-pocket and different colors are best.
• 1 package of loose-leaf note paper.
• Several pencils, erasers, and blue- or black-ink pens. A highlighter is handy.
BRHS Department Material Recommendations:
Art: A pencil with an eraser every day
