A letter from BRHS Principal Tricia Campbell

Greetings BRHS Parent/Guardian(s):

It is hard to believe but the 2019-2020 school year ends this Friday, June 5th. At this time your students should be working to complete their current Quarter 4 course load and work to earn their credits. Teachers will be available to help students who are working to close out final and outstanding work the week of June 1st - 5th.

Quarter 4 is a Pass or Incomplete. All students must complete the modified curriculum to complete the course and earn the credit (representing course completion). Our teachers are working hard to do all that they can to support student success. Please reach out if you have questions or if your student is struggling with the work in any way. I have been incredibly impressed with how families, staff and students have collaborated and connected throughout this challenging time. BRHS teachers are available to students Monday-Friday 8 am-3 pm. The mental health and whole child wellness is far more important than any academic lesson we can present.

The Class of 2020 participated in their first gradation practice this morning. It was so exciting to have students in the building and to see the graduates all together! We are so proud! BRHS graduation is Friday June 5th at 2 pm. The Boothbay- Boothbay Harbor CSD campus will be closed at 12 pm that day. The graduation will be broadcast live for families, friends, and community on BRTV local cable (ch1301), and Facebook.

Following the graduation, beginning at 4 pm, there will be a community parade through the Harbor to celebrate the Class of 2020. The parade includes the seniors and their families in vehicles. Community is welcome to cheer on the graduates and asked to follow CDC guidelines. We will follow BHPD along the traditional celebration loop through downtown BBH. (Leaving school campus into town. Oak Street to square left onto Townsend and back to school.) The entire community stands with our seniors! We could not be more proud of their accomplishments!

*If you have any questions please contact BRHS Guidance Counselor Leanne Burnham (lburnham@aos98schools.org).

This has been a challenging time. Our students, staff and community have worked hard to support our schools. We have certainly demonstrated that we stronger together. This is an incredibly special community! Thank you for standing with us, beside us.

My heart is with you, Tricia
