Attention Bath Voc. Students: Important Update

Dear Bath Tech Students and Families,

Earlier this afternoon you should have received an email from the RSU 1 Superintendent

regarding the Morse High School/Bath Tech campus outbreak status. While these are not

epidemiologically linked, based on discussions with the Maine CDC, we are cleaning the

school/classrooms and closing these schools for 10 days. Our school will participate in fully

remote classes from Monday, January 11th - Friday, January 15th. Given the Monday

holiday on the 18th, we will return to in-person learning on Tuesday, January 19th.

Bath Tech is fully prepared for remote instruction and expects students to continue to

engage synchronously with their classes, as outlined in this plan . Students should login to

Brightspace each school day and plan to join an online Google Meet at the beginning of

each class that would normally be an “in person” cohort day. Program instructors will be

reaching out to all students through their RSU 1 email address first thing on Monday

morning with any further instructions specific to the program.

We understand that this change can be challenging for some, but it is important that

students continue to stay engaged in their learning during the remote week. If you have any

questions regarding remote learning expectations please reach out to your student’s

instructor or Director, Julie Kenny at jkenny@rsu1.org or by calling the phone number

below.

Sincerely,

Julie Kenny
