While we continue to enjoy the warm days of summer, we can't help, but look at the calendar and realize that the 2021-2022 academic year will soon begin! In preparation for the new year at BRHS, we have worked diligently to create a schedule that both meets the academic needs of our students and provides opportunities to explore additional academic interests in elective courses.
For the academic year, we will follow a Blue/Gold Block Schedule that includes eight periods where each class meets every other day for the entire year. With this schedule, students will carry seven courses for the year and each student will have one assigned study hall, every other day. In rare cases, students may carry eight courses. Such requests will require a student and parent consultation, with me, in order to determine the appropriateness of the request.
Individual student tentative 2021-2022 schedules were mailed home last week. If you see an empty blocks on the schedule, this means that I have not been able to connect with your student(s)over the past week to review course options. Please encourage your student(s) to reach out to me via email (lburnham@aos98schools.org)to schedule a meeting or phone call.
I will be checking emails regularly and the BRHS Guidance Office will be open daily beginning on Monday, August 23rd.
