A Letter from the Principal

12.16.21

Dear BRHS Parents and Guardians,

The school has learned about reports of threats on TikTok that have been circulating around the country that reference violence in schools on December 17th.

Please know that we have been in contact with our local authorities and are working in partnership with the Boothbay Harbor Police Department. At this time, law enforcement officials have indicated that there are no specific threats to our schools, including Boothbay Region High School and Boothbay Region Elementary School.

We will continue to partner with our local authorities. I encourage you to speak with your children about the importance of sharing any information they may hear or learn about any potential threats to students, staff or schools; any concerning behaviors presented by classmates or peers; or about anything that just “seems off or just doesn't seem right” about what they are seeing in school.

As always, we are committed to working to ensure safety in our schools. There will be increased police presence at the Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor CSD campus on Friday, December 17, 2021 to support students and staff. If you have information that you believe we should be aware of, please contact the school (207 633 2421). The health and safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Thank you for your continued support of our schools.

Principal Campbell
